Graz

Graz is the capital city of the province Styria (Steiermark), with 250.000 inhabitants Austria´s second largest city. The Old Town of Graz is one of the best preserved in Europe and was awarded World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1999. In 2003 Graz was European Cultural Capital, which boosted a lot of developments in the city. Some of these have certainly set landmarks, such as the spectacular Kunsthaus (Art Museum) or the Island in the Mur river.

The Universities of Graz, the research institutes and innovative companies form the necessary basis for Graz being an important congress destination. The charm of the city itself, the perfect accessibility and modern congress facilities are only but a few advantages Graz has to offer. Graz has an international airport with connections to all major European cities. The distance from the city center to the airport is less than half an hour by bus.

Hohe Tauern National Park

The Hohe Tauern National Park is the largest protected area of nature and animals in the Alps.
The National Park Hohe Tauern is situated in the heart of the Austrian Alps – this being the second largest in Europe and spreads over an area of 1,800 km². One of the last big sanctuaries for Flora and Fauna. Only by the preservation of their habitat, can threatened species survive in the Hohe Tauern from extinction. Here nature presents itself from its most beautiful side. Austria’s highest mountain tops, extensive glacier areas, alpine meadows, rocks and water falls – in an harmonious unit with old cultural landscapes, which have taken their shape over past centuries.
